Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock this week, you will have noticed that the big hoo-hah on social media has surrounded the new Apple Card. They even had their own hashtag, #AppleEvent.
Now, as a business, Apple have always mocked other companies who have created credit cards, but now they’ve taken the brave step to ignore these previous grumblings and make something better than anyone else. The card itself is digital (inside your phone), but if you want a physical card, forget your run-of-the-mill piece of plastic with all your information on it. Instead, think titanium, with just your name etched on to it and a chip.
The morale of the Apple card story? It’s important for businesses to be able to change their minds despite criticism – and it always feels good when you can show your critics how it’s done properly.
